NORAH JONES STARS IN WONG KAR WAI’S ‘MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS,’ SET TO OPEN THE 60TH CANNES FILM FESTIVAL ON MAY 16
CONFIRMS SECOND LEG OF NORTH AMERICAN TOUR, GOOD MORNING AMERICA SUMMER CONCERT SERIES PERFORMANCE, AND EXTENSIVE EUROPEAN TOUR

On May 16, Norah Joneswill attend the 60th Cannes Film Festival, where acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Wong Kar Wai’s first English-language film ‘My Blueberry Nights’ is set to open the Festival. Norah stars in the film, joined by a cast that includes Jude Law, David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman. Shot in New York, Memphis, Nevada, and along the legendary Route 66, the film is an intimate tale of love and self-discovery that features Wong’s trademark visual flair and colorful characters.
Norah also recently confirmed the second North America leg of her current Not Too Late Tour, set to pick up on June 1, at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. During this second leg she plays Vancouver on June 28. Once the tour wraps up, Norah will perform as part of Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on July 6, followed by an extensive UK/European tour in July and August.
Next week, Norah will wrap up the first leg of her North American tour which has drawn rave reviews, with sold-out Canadian shows in Toronto on May 11 and Montreal on May 12. After her performance at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC last month, The NY Post observed “Jones looked great in her modified poodle dress, sounded even better, and demonstrated musical depth and interpretive prowess possessed by just a handful of the greats.”
Norah’s third album, Not Too Late - “by far her best," according to The Washington Post - is the top selling album of 2007 to date, in North America and abroad. The album has sold over four million copies worldwide, hitting #1 on the album charts in 29 countries (including Canada), and achieving gold, platinum or multi-platinum status in 33 markets, as well as an IFPI Platinum Award for sales in excess of one million units in Europe. Not Too Late spent five weeks at #1 on the Canadian Soundscan Album Charts and is already double-platinum in Canada. Norah's debut album Come Away With Me has been certified diamond (1 million copies) in Canada.
