DIGITALISM BRING THEIR BRAND OF INFCETIOUS ELECTRONICA TO A VERY VISUAL, GLOBAL FOREFRONT WITH IDEALISM THE DEBUT DISC IS OUT IN CANADA ON JUNE 19, 2007

Digitalism’s debut album, Idealism, is already one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, although it’s still early days for the Hamburg-based duo, Jence & Isi E. The pair have just three previous EPs under their belt - released on the Franco-Japanese label Kitsuné, and featuring “Zdarlight,” one of last year’s hottest club anthems - plus several critically acclaimed remixes of tunes by Depeche Mode, Klaxons and Daft Punk, among others, and a series of organic live performances.

Idealism will be available in Canada on June 19 (EMI Music). Preceding the album release has been the catchy lead single and video for, Pogo. Says a review posted on DanceNova.com: “If Franz Ferdinand are doing rock music that make people dance, Digitalism are making dance music that make people rock. There are loads of rock bands making music for the dancefloor. Digitalism make electronic music that everyone can rock to.”

Digitalism has built itself a solid reputation and stands ready to ride the new electro wave (sparked by Justice, Does It Offend You Yeah?, MSTRKRFT and more), currently breaking over dance floors worldwide. The group has chosen to release their album on Labels/Virgin Music, no stranger to the electronic music scene, and this places Digitalism on a roster alongside such top acts as Daft Punk, AIR, Chemical Brothers, Moby, LCD Soundsystem and Depeche Mode.

Digitalism currently grace the cover of the June/July issue of XLR8R Magazine in the U.S.

With a completely jammed schedule, full of festival and big club and event appearances throughout Britain and Europe this summer, Canadian dates are looking to be routed and confirmed for the fall. Update on the gigs will be confirmed shortly.
