k-os Honoured at Second-Ever Stylus DJ Awards

Winners have been announced for the 2007 ROGERS STYLUS DJ AWARDS. The second-ever Canadian awards, honouring urban music's best DJs, emcees, musicians and record labels.

The honour of Canadian Hip Hop Single of the Year was presented to k-os for his hit single Sunday Morning.

WORLDWIDE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

CANADIAN AND INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMMAKERS SHOWCASE THEIR WORK TO THE WORLD, JUNE 12TH TO 17TH IN TORONTO
Taking place from June 12th to 17th, 2007 the WSFF will present over 250 films from 30 countries. Each 90 minute screening features a selection of themed shorts that showcase the most innovative films being made today.

Festival Highlights include:
•OFFICIAL SELECTION
I MET THE WALRUS (OS7) – A young student snares an interview with John Lennon

•CELEBRITY SHORTS
ROOM 10 – co-directed by Jennifer Aniston and starring Robin Wright Penn and Kris Kristofferson
LIFE IS SHORT – stars Seth McFarlane (creator, The Family Guy) and Alexis Bledel (The Gilmour Girls)

•LAUGHING AT AMERICANS: NEW VOICES OF AMERICAN COMEDY
IAS: A SEARCH FOR HOPE – stars Rainn Wilson (The Office, also in LANCE IS A...)

*The 2007 Academy Awards featured five nominees who had previously screened at WSFF including Oscar-winners for Best Animated Short THE DANISH POET and Best Live-Action Short WEST BANK STORY. (THE DANISH POET won best animation at WSFF 2006. WEST BANK STORY screened at WSFF 2005.)
