SPARKS MUSIC SET TO RELEASE SPIRAL BEACH “BALL”
Canada’s newest indie label Sparks Music has inked a deal with Toronto’s Spiral Beach to release their new CD “Ball” on October 16.
Sparks Music is distributed by EMI Music Canada and as Sparks President Larry Macrae observed, “Both EMI and Sparks are very excited to be involved with Spiral Beach.”
Macrae along with Jeff Rogers, and three other partners launched Sparks Music in early 2007. The label is also home to newcomers SLAVE to the SQUAREWave.
“Spiral Beach” continues Macrae, “are one of the most exciting and innovative bands to hit the club circuit and concert scene this year!”
Jeff Rogers (who also manages Spiral Beach) adds, “This band is committed to performing live and have already toured most of Canada and parts of the U.S.. Spiral Beach’s fan base grows with each stop they make.”
Spiral Beach has also managed to place their music in television commercials and film. In particular they will be appearing and performing their music in an upcoming film by Jon Poll entitled “Charlie Bartlett”.
The band members include Daniel and Airick Woodhead, Maddy Wilde, and Dorian Thornton. They are currently on tour in Western Canada performing at the following dates:
Saturday August 18th- Media Club, Vancouver BC
Sunday August 19th- Cumberland Village Park, Cumberland BC
Thursday August 23rd- The Royal on Baker, Nelson BC
Friday August 24th- The Canmore Hotel, Canmore BC
Saturday August 25th- The Stetson, Calgary AB
