Lady Antebellum Honored To Open For Martina McBride’s “Waking Up Laughing” Tour
The band reacts to their VERY first country music tour
"I am so shocked and honoured to say that we are a part of this tour!!!! It’s an amazing feeling and we are so humbled" said Lady Antebellum co-lead singer, Hillary Scott. The new Capitol Records Nashville trio, who is made up of Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley will open (along with Jack Ingram) Martina McBride’s nationwide arena tour beginning in Evansville, IN on January 18. There are no Canadian dates to announce at this time.
When Dave Haywood heard the news he remembers thinking “THE Martina McBride?!? There's no way! ‘Independence Day’ Martina??” Charles Kelley added that he “can't wait to get in front of Martina's loyal fan base and show them what we're all about. I also can't wait to catch Martina and Jack Ingram's show every night and learn from two true professionals.”
Lady Antebellum, who originally met through MySpace, released their self-penned debut single “Love Don’t Live Here” earlier this month. The group’s debut album is expected to be released in early 2008.
