Rogers to Appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” Today - Friday, November 30
Kenny Rogers’ all-time greatest love songs have been collected for Kenny Rogers: A Love Song Collection, a new 17-track CD and digital album to be released January 15 by Capitol Nashville/EMI. The romantic collection, arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day, boasts nine #1 hits and six Top 40 singles.
Kenny Rogers’ most recent hits collection, 2005’s 21 Number Ones, has been certified gold by the RIAA, with U.S. sales totaling more than 500,000 units.
Today, (Friday, November 30th), Kenny Rogers will invite television viewers into his Atlanta home to meet his family on ABC TV’s “Oprah Winfrey Show” as part of Oprah’s "Friends, Family & The Holidays" special episode, which will also feature appearances by Amy Grant, Vince Gill and Rascal Flatts. The Oprah crew spent some time with Rogers and his wife Wanda and three-year-old twins at their home to see how the family prepares for the holidays. Rogers also taped song performances at Oprah’s studio in Chicago for Friday’s show, including “She Believes In Me” and a highlight duet by Oprah Winfrey and Rogers for a chorus of his mega-hit, “The Gambler.” Following the broadcast, additional performances will be available for viewing at www.Oprah.com.
Kenny Rogers is on the road again this holiday season for the 25th anniversary of his highly acclaimed annual Christmas & Hits tour, one of the longest running holiday tours in history.
