HANK 3 CD RELEASE PARTIES!
Few family names in the music industry carry the sort of clout a whopper like "Williams" does. But Shelton Hank Williams -- or as the adoring masses like to call him, "III" – would be doing just fine without the help. After all, Over the past ten-odd years, the man has managed to break all the rules of country music while still honouring its traditions; making for a wildly unique sound, a handful of spirited records, and a legion of devotees across the globe. The sort of fans that live for this kind of news: Following on the heels of the fiercely edgy Straight to Hell, III is preparing for the October 21st release of Damn Right & Rebel Proud, a record that could been seen as Williams' life story in 13 songs, laced with the withering honesty we've come to expect from the straight-talkin' third-gen rebel.
"Country's original hell-raiser continues to carve out his own twisted path here, mixing foul-mouthed, pitch-black country odes to drugs, violence and suicide with truck-driving hellbilly raveups and lickety split twangfests. Grandad would be proud." --The Sun
Hank III, a man practically engineered for the sort of endless tours he's built his career on, doesn't have any dates booked at the moment. But watch those websites like a hawk, as he'll surely be swinging through your neck of the woods any time now, hocking that fist-pumping new record like the proud rebel he is.
In the meantime, to celebrate the release of Damn Right Rebel Proud, there is a string of CD release parties happening all across Canada - check for the one in your backyard:

October 26 - Toronto - 751
October 26 - Vancouver - the Roxy
October 27 - Ottawa - Zaphods
